Injections and Osteoporosis.

Hi Friends,
Last week I had a bone scan done(the day before my spinal cord stimulator surgery) and a couple of days ago I was notified by my doctor that I have osteoporosis. I am having a very difficult recovery and this news does not make me feel any better. I am 44 and in good shape.(except for my chronic pain) I have taken supplements of calcium, magnesium and vit. D for many years. In fact, I already take above the suggested levels for osteoporosis. I have had steroid injections every 3 months for about 4 years and I am afraid they caused the osteoporosis. I am also afraid I will not be given injections in the future. I manage my pain with the help of two SCS's and medication along with nerve blocks. I can't imagine not having the injections.
