Herniated Disc Trials

A herniated disc occurs when the inner core of the disc extrudes through the outer core and comes in contact with and irritates a nearby spinal nerve root, prompting possible symptoms like back pain, leg pain (sciatica), neck pain and arm pain.

During herniated disc trials, researchers examine the effectiveness of new treatments not yet approved or released to the public on participants who have voluntarily participated in the research.
